Jesus Christ is named “The Holy One” by prophets. The word “Holy” has an ancient meaning of “one set apart for a special purpose”. Christ came to earth for us, to redeem us from sin, from our fallen state. He literally descends, or comes down from His Heavenly throne to be our Savior. I always paint Him with blue eyes, because every description I’ve read from those who have had the privilege of being with Him, describe Him with brilliant blue eyes.
